ArcIMS Developer

Job Description:

This project is enhancing the client's web portal by including a spatial permit query tool to assist individuals in obtaining statewide regulatory information. An ArcIMS Developer is needed to assist as described below.

Develop spatial tools to: locate an area of interest based on statewide roads and other GIS layers, view and query permitting data from both tabular (Oracle) and spatial (ArcSDE) databases, and extract data from those databases. Incorporate the tools in an existing web page and modify as necessary; integrate the modified application with existing systems; test and modify the application if needed. Ensure that the application meets requirements and District standards. Communicate issues and progress to project manager.

Required Skills:Experience developing spatial web applications using ArcIMS 4.0.x or 9.x (minimum 2 years).Experience with VB.Net, ASP.Net, javascript, ADO/SQL (3+ years).Experience working with ArcSDE (8.x and 9).Knowledge of Oracle (9i).Good communication and analytical skills
