Architect

Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE: CA) is one of the world's largest management software companies, delivering software and services across operations, security, storage, life cycle and service management. We are currently looking for a qualified Architect to work on site at our Herndon, VA location.

This position is required to work on Federal Security projects. Responsible for developing Architectural Design and Specifications documentation. Ensure critical architectural requirements are maintained throughout implementation as design changes are included. Ensure continuity for customer from pre-sales to delivery.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years IT experience in the security space with at least 2 years in the design and implementation of large-scale, multi-tiered, heterogeneous IT infrastructures., Candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills. Candidate must also have excellent analytical skills. Architect must also be able to multi-task (e.g., handle multiple projects at once) and have understanding of software sales cycle.

Experience in CA products, eTrust Audit, ePC, SSO, Pest Patrol, eSCC, eAV, Directory, eAC, Forest and Trees, and Unicenter NSM a Plus.

An Architect ensures continuity handoff from pre-sales to delivery organization. This person will also conduct technical presentation and support trials as needed. This person will also analyze and review client infrastructure to determine suitable, feasible design that meets client needs. Architects identify technical issues and support issues resolution and/or escalation during implementation phase. An Architect also serves as a subject matter expert for CA product implementations (e.g., CA and non-CA led delivery). This person will create technical continuity for customer by following up on CA services led implementations to offer support when needed. They will also provide technical continuity throughout customer engagement. Architects assemble information to determine customer requirements. They also analyze customer infrastructure to determine suitable, feasible solution(s). Provide detailed designs based on customer requirements. Architect will monitor technical issues that may impact solution design during implementation phase. They also evaluate the solution design during the implementation of the project. Architects are responsible for identifying additional opportunities after CA Services led implementations. Architects certify both high level and detailed design documents and determine the need for further review by other internal resources.
