Primary Responsibilities

1) Establish and support enterprise application development best practices, standards, and guidelines for Microsoft and object oriented development.

2) Provide technical leadership to application development teams utilizing Microsoft development tools and an object oriented development approach. This includes analysis, design, and development consulting, and performing design and code reviews.

3) Design and develop (or supervise the development of) enterprise reusable assets.

4) Provide expert advice and assistance in terms of technical troubleshooting and resolving significant issues to root cause. If necessary take the lead role in resolving an issue.

5) Evaluate current and future technologies for potential inclusion in Microsoft application development portfolio.

Required Technical Skills

1) Architect-Application - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.

Excellent n-tier architecture development skills; experience providing application architecture consulting for enterprise applications; experience with iterative development methodology using UML.

2) Developer-.NET C# - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.

3) Visual Studio 2003 and .Net Framework 1.1 - Expert with 3 year(s) experience.

Prefer expertise with Visual Studio 2005 and .Net Framework 2.0.

4) ASP.Net - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.

5) Proficiency in PL-SQL and/or T-SQL - Intermediate with 5 year(s) experience.

Prefer Oracle 8.x or higher and/or Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or higher.

Preferred Technical Skills

1) Developer-.NET VB - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.

2) Developer-Java - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.

Prefer experience on WebSphere 5.x or higher; JDK 1.4 or higher.

3) Service Oriented Architecture - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.

Familiarity with general principles of SOA.
