Overview/Comments:


The qualified EA Candidate will be a technology smart but business-savvy individual who will be responsible for significant aspects of implementing and executing the established Enterprise Architecture strategy. The scope of the job includes establishing standards frameworks, setting long range architecture plans and roadmaps and governing enterprise architecture via review boards. The candidate should be a technology innovator who is familiar with cutting edge technologies and agile IT practices. The candidate should be able to envision and evangelize innovative approaches for improving ADT/IT?s ability to meet business needs. The candidate should be able to mentor project teams on the use of new technologies and practices.

The position is also accountable for maintaining technology architecture and standards within certain technology areas. The candidate will be responsible for the creation and implementation of a world-class Enterprise Architecture foundation. This is critical as the client continues to expand its market footprint and product offerings. The position may involve hands-on technology activity, for providing appropriate project level mentoring for new architecture and design principles.

The position should advocate the Technology as a critical enabler for business; this is a key role, with significant interactions with business partners and IT leadership and staff. This position provides the opportunity to make a significant impact on the business growth, business agility and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

Most Important:
? A proven track record and at least 8 years hands-on experience developing and implementing complex multi-tier enterprise-class technology solutions, ideally gained in environments utilizing high volumes real-time data gathering, monitoring, distributed data processing, data warehousing and business intelligence systems

? A minimum of 3 years experience working on enterprise-class architecture initiatives, designing and implementing multiple technology solutions, architecture frameworks, etc. Topics will span software acquisition and development, to infrastructure.

? Extensive hands-on experience with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in infrastructure and applications projects: requirements, design, development, QA and implementation of software applications using established industry methodologies and techniques (e.g. Rational, RUP Methodology, J2EE frameworks, Service Oriented Architectures, Business Rules Engines).

? Good Familiarity with ESB, Web Services and SOA architecture in identifying business patterns for developing reusable services, components in infrastructure.

? At least 4 years of Infrastructure Architecture experience in a Data Center, Storage and Server Consolidations, current in all computing paradigms including SMP/MPP architectures, GRID, On-Demand, and Virtualizations technologies.

? At least 4 years of experience with Data and Information architecture. Areas of expertise should include Business Intelligence (BI), Analytics, Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Enterprise Reporting, Data Access Services, and Data Trends.

? Motivated self starter with the ability to rapidly learn Clients Business, understand client and stakeholder needs, and learn and adapt to new technologies.

? Must have a BS (prefer MS) degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent job experience.

? Candidate should exhibit strong teamwork and collaboration and should have strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Desirable

? Experience in Call Center and Voice Technologies-CTI, ACD, IVR and various applications suites in contact center (e.g. Nice, TCS, etc.). Strong experience in end to end call center technologies-client devices, back-end infrastructure, applications, ESM and monitoring is a must.

? Experience in Storage Architectures-SAN/NAS with experience in Hitachi HDS/HP, EMC or IBM ESS will be a plus.


Responsibilities:

Position is the single point of responsibility for the technical solution for a product from a system perspective, and designs an infrastructure necessary to support that product. The TA will work with all development team members to ensure the product meets the required performance requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Works closely with the technical and application teams to identify, evaluate and recommend the specific technology architecture necessary to support both functional and non-functional requirements for a project.

2. Oversee multiple projects from an enterprise architecture perspective.

3. Keeps abreast of, and actively learn about, new technologies, hardware and software developments, in the IT industry and provides recommendations to management as to their use within ADT.

4. Participates in evaluation of vendor proposals for purchases of hardware, software and technical services to assure adherence to technical specifications.

5. Reviews and recommends guidelines and standards as well as identifies system software to be used and supported across the I.T. infrastructure.

6. Works with all related colleagues to ensure that systems are architecturally sound, scaleable, recoverable and supportable by I.T.

7. Provide technical support and technical quality control throughout all stages of the project.

8. Recommends changes to the capability requirements of the operating information systems environment within the scope of responsibility.

9. Provide a technical bridge between IT and the business with respect to projects or new solutions/needs. Providing technical leadership during crucial, early phases of requirements gathering, technology selection, and initial system design.

10. Provides overall technical direction and guidance to managers and professional staff within the scope of responsibility.

11. Prepares activity and progress reports for activities within the scope of responsibility.

12. Assists in studies and investigations pertaining to the maintenance/modification of current systems and the development of new systems to meet current and strategic needs.

13. Develops new, or modifies existing, procedures to meet objectives.

14. Prepares technical reports and instructional manuals as appropriate.

15. Ensures adherence to all department processes, procedures and standards, including quality assurance and PMO.

16. Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Education: Four year degree or equivalent IT experience.

Experience: 10+ years of work experience focusing on technology and full Software Development Life Cycle. 5+ years of software development experience building enterprise applications. 3+ years experience in planning and estimating, architecting large/complex applications, platforms or solutions. 3+ years experience architecting N-tier systems.

Skills: Understanding of High Availability, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery as they relate to Open Systems Architecture. Excellent technical skills in Oracle, AIX and mission critical systems. Strong analytical/problem solving skills. Leadership skills. Management skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Project/Program management & negotiating skills.
