Architect Specialist - Infrastructure

The Infrastructure Architect Specialist is responsible for leading infrastructure architecture projects and medium-to-large cross platform projects. The position will also provide broad technology consultation to various managers, departments and project teams. In addition, this role has a deep understanding of the infrastructure standards and uses that knowledge to recommend solutions to both infrastructure and application teams.

The Infrastructure Architecture Specialist recommends new standards in conjunction with the associated global platform team and also reviews the standards from a lifecycle management perspective. The Architecture Specialist develops reference architectures including templates and technical positions. In addition to these tasks, this role involves being part of the group that manages the infrastructure long range planning and conducts new technology research around the various infrastructure platforms.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

8-10 years (preferred) of directly related infrastructure architecture experience.

Demonstrated knowledge and/or expertise in at least one of the following disciplines: network, database, desktop/mobile, server, security, disaster recovery/business continuance, mail and collaboration tools, unified communications/VOIP, middleware.

General knowledge and understanding across several different technologies, servers, and platforms.

Demonstrated success in the development and implementation of reference architectures, and standards.

Ability to work closely and partner with multiple teams within the organization.

Demonstrated capability to provide technology reccommendations to various levels within the organization.
