Job Description:

Assignment

Work with a team of technical architects to set the direction and plan for implementing a next generation suite of collaboration tools utilizing Unified Communications technologies.

 

Primary Responsibilities

1) Set 3 Year plan and direction for a Unified Communication Strategy

2) Perform business analysis and cost justification for capital required to implement next generation collaboration strategy.

3) Work closely with business units to understand work processes, identify gaps and make recommendations for technology solutions

 

 

Required Skills:

General Qualifications

Degree Preference: BS Degree in IT related field is preferred

Certification Requirement: MCSE, Telecommunication Techologies Certification

2) Team player, able to interact effectively with team members and customers

3) Ability to access and use knowledge resources via manuals, the web, etc.

4) Self starter, able to work with minimal direction

5) Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to deliver technical presentations to a non technical audience

 

Required Technical Skills

1) Architect-Technical - Expert with 3 year(s) experience.

2) Microsoft Collaboration Technologies - Expert with 3 year(s) experience.

Certification and understanding of the Microsoft suite of Collaboration tools, IM, SharePoint, SharePoint Portal, etc.

3) SIP Protocol - Expert with 2 year(s) experience.

Experience and expertise in architecture and deployment of an integrated SIP based strategy for presence information sharing.

4) Microsoft Client and Server Skills - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.

Expertise and certification in Microsoft technologies including Operating Systems, Collaboration Sloutions and Common Office Environment.

 

Preferred Technical Skills

1) Unified fax Solution - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.

Experience designing and deploying a unified fax solution. Knowledge of fax alternatives and how they relate to Telecom centric sloutions vs server centric solutions.

2) IP Telephony - Intermediate with 3 year(s) experience.

Experience with business case, selection, design, installation and support of an IP Telephony system.
