Ariba Application Development Analyst

PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Function as a backup System Administrator for Ariba, the firms Spend Management solution. The application currently consists of Ariba Buyer and will include Category Procurement, Contracts and Sourcing modules in the near future.
- Assist IT Product Owner with the following activities:
- Gather, analyze and document business requirements requested/defined by business owners
.
- Manage product functionality by defining detailed functional requirements.
- Create project charters for small projects and maintain related PMO documents.
- Execute Project Manager responsibilities for small projects.
- Work closely with Development Team Lead and developers as needed to ensure functional requirements are clearly understood to meet business requirements.
- Participate on weekly Ariba PMO calls with the business owners, held twice per week. Ability to chair the calls and provide updates on releases/fixes/enhancements and other topics.
- Coordinate system lifecycle activities with our SPS, Accounting and PCard business teams, SAP (FO, AP, ABAP, Basis) and other IT application teams, PMO group, Integration teams, QA, Security, Site Tech, Help Desks, Training, and other external entities (i.e. suppliers, banks, leasing agents, Ariba Tech. Support, etc.).? ?
- Process and data analysis associated with the development of E-Procurement
solutions, utilizing Ariba, Microsoft Windows 2003, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, BEA WebLogic 8.1 and Microsoft IIS 6.0.
- Assist in configuration tasks and provide required assistance to development teams involved with implementing additional Ariba modules (Category Procurement, Contracts and Sourcing), new releases of Ariba and various enhancements to the system.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills will be required when working closely with various entities, to efficiently develop and support E- Procurement solutions.? Must be a team player within the Procurement team, as well as across numerous ITS and all external groups.
- Must adhere to appropriate ITS project methodology (includes system documentation, Security & ERS reqs. etc.)??

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience with Ariba Buyer. Experience with implementation(s) of other ARIBA modules (e.g. Category Procurement, Contracts, Sourcing, etc.) a big plus.
- Prior experience
and knowledge of programming languages such as Java 2.0, JavaScript, XML, HTML and Perl.
- Knowledge of Windows 2003, Microsoft IIS 6.0, SQL Server 2000 (SQL, PL/SQL)
- Large software package (SAP, etc.) experience beneficial.
- Knowledge of financial applications (i.e. AP/MM/GL).?
- Must be detail oriented and have the ability to help resolve time-critical production problems. Ability to multitask as required.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills.? Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Work effectively in a team environment.? Ability to work with, and to establish sound working relationships.
- Able to work independently with limited direction from supervisor.
- Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or Business Information Systems or relevant technical training or equivalent work experience required.??
- Minimum 3 yrs. IT Analysis/Design/Development experience.
