Asc Director

The candidate will manage a team of professionals responsible for delivery of business technology projects and support, as well as perform personnel management activities to develop talent within the organization. This position will also partner with his/her clients to understand their business requirements/needs, partner with other internal IS organizations to delivery business solutions, investigate questions related to the business' applications and data, identify opportunities to improve business processes and/or systems/applications, delivery solutions, manage on-going tactical/operational issues, manage multiple managers, negotiate and coordinate with vendors and other internal IT groups, help others develop solutions to highly complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity, model cross-functional collaboration and teamwork encouraging others to do the same, develop higher level plans, work with managers and individual contributors to develop objectives; develop his/her team by providing coaching and knowledge sharing on client and project management techniques and identifying the technical skills required to strengthen the team, participate in providing input on long-term IT strategy and determining solutions to the overall strategy in support of WCH Global Scientific Affairs.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 12 years of related, professional experience or a Ph.D. and a minimum of 6-7 years of experience or equivalent work experience; solid business knowledge; experience in a regulated, compliance-focused industry required; experience in all areas of project management (including full system lifecycle), computer systems validation, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and compliance as related to FDA regulations including CFR Part 11 is required; a solid understanding of application architecture and technical development; ability to partner with other internal Information Services groups; demonstrated ability to function independently and proactively in a deadline-driven work environment; demonstrated analytical, collaboration, consultation and multi-tasking skills; excellent communication and prioritization skills; minimum of 6-7 years of management experience, ability to develop effective working relationships in a cross-functional team; knowledge of pharmaceutical and/or consumer package goods research industry; experience with Microsoft Project.
