We are currently looking for an Associate Information Engineer. Please read on for more details regarding this position.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

The individual will be responsible for performing integrated testing and supporting customer testing for Commercial Systems MI Strategy projects and initiatives.

~ Conducts system and integrated testing activities for the organization

~ Defines test scenarios and constructs test cases.

~ Creates and maintains test plans and test scripts.

~ Ensures that test strategies and plans meet the requirements of each release

~ Provides review and signoff/on testing artifacts produced by sourcing partners.

~ Follows standards for testing documentation

~ Raises issues appropriately

~ Communicates defects identified during testing, and ensures that they are resolved in a timely manner

~ Builds relationships with business and technical partners to facilitate smooth daily operation

 

Occasional travel may be required

 

Experience/Qualifications Required:

*Education - Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.

*Superior written and oral communication skills

*Expert in data warehousing and business intelligence applications. A minimum of 2 years experience conducting controlled integrated testing for warehousing and business intelligence applications.

*Knowledgeable in property/casualty insurance business processes supported by MI environment

*Expert in testing procedures and methodologies

*Able to communicate effectively with business and technical partners

*Excellent documentation skills

*Familiar with test process management tools, such as Test Director

*Prior experience working with sourcing partners would be a plus.

*Demonstrated proficiency in SQL query language required.

*Technology - Experience in RDBMS technologies in the mainframe and client server platforms, ETL tools and BI tools. Prior experience with one or more of the following required: Teradata, Ascential, Cognos Impromptu, and AIX/UNIX.

*Span of control & influence - Able to interact and communicate effectively with business partners, developers, and resources of sourcing partners.
