The Services workforce is made up of four groups: Client Operations, Project Based, Delivery Centers and BPO Businesses.  Most of our people in Services are based long-term at a client location, an Accenture Delivery Center or, in some cases, an Accenture office.

 

Job Description


Client Operations professionals are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients.  They design, manage and implement the activities associated with key business functions. The Service Delivery/Operations capability focuses on the attributes or skills essential to providing the necessary services and solutions to the client, the client?s employees or the client?s customers in fulfilment of contractual obligations agreed upon by both parties. Examples of professionals in this capability would be software developers and technical architects. The Application Outsourcing specialty incorporates skills which support the programming, management and maintenance services required to implement and support new installations or maintain and improve existing legacy systems for our clients.

 

The Portal Developer is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities for a software product team for a client who has a new eCommerce Portal. The Portal Developer has a solid understanding of the functional and technical aspects of the portal and is responsible for the coordination of work efforts between onshore and offshore Accenture team members throughout all phases of the product development life-cycle. The Portal Developer works on site with the client and understands business processes, effectively communicates requirements, creates designs, resolves questions/issues so that the offshore development team can code and test new product code, and ensures that the completed code meets the business requirements and is of high quality. 

 

Key responsibilities may include:

 

? Manage own workload

? Create project status reports

? Communicate accurate and useful status to Team Lead, and / or Program Manager as appropriate.

? Ensures that code meets the appropriate project, development, and quality standards.

? Ensures that deliverables meet the agreed upon timelines. Fulfills obligations/completion of deliverables within own area of responsibility ? can include requirements, designs, code, code reviews, testing plans, test execution, etc.

 

Qualifications

 

? Up to two years relevant experience in BEA Portal development skills, with proficiency in the BEA development framework and administrative services as well as Java development skills.

? Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) required, in Computer Science or related field
? Telecommunications industry experience required

? Strong communications skills (written and oral) required

? Microsoft Suite of Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word) experience required

? Experience managing and developing others required

? Experience with offshore delivery methodology a plus
