BI Architect / Lead developer

The successful candidate will work closely with Business Intelligence team members, as well as members of other departments (such as the company?s Financial Services and Sales groups), to analyze and integrate data from our various corporate applications and to develop and support the corporate data warehouse and enterprise reporting needs

Requirements:  

? 5-8 years related experience, with strong analytical skills for technical problem solving.
? Extensive, 4-6 years, use of the Ascential DataStage ETL toolset
? Ability to solve complex technical problems, assimilate information rapidly, and work under time constraints.
? Proven ability to design, implement and monitor Source to Target systems, identification of source system details, understanding of Dimensional Models/query tools, and Metadata Repositories.
? Significant hands-on ability to create all phases of the ETL process.
? Ability to identify opportunities to optimize the ETL environment.
? Establishing the synchronization of the required data movements.
? Strong Microsoft SQL Server 2000 skills including database design, T-SQL, triggers, stored procedures, indexes and user defined functions.
? Implementation and monitoring of validation processes to ensure all data was moved correctly. 
? Creation of documentation for all ETL processes.
? Experience with PeopleSoft Enterprise Warehouse (EPM) application is desired.
? Experience with Business Object desirable.
? Proficiency in SQL and scripting.
? Excellent problem solving, communication and organizational skills.
? Strong customer focus.
? BS degree, Computer Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities:

? Design, Develop, and QA the data population of the PeopleSoft Data Warehouse from business  applications.
? Data ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading), implementation planning and plan execution, data maintenance and security.
? Develop and support data-marts and cubes for analytical reporting.
? Develop and support Crystal reports from data-marts or transactional applications.
? Contribute to the optimization of the reports, query?s, and prompts.
? Candidate must also have an ability to work well with others and reliably communicate requirements and status with other departments.
