BIC Web Content Administrator

GENERAL SUMMARY

Working as part of the BIC Information Technology staff, the BIC Web Content Administrator is responsible for creating content for the website for the National Hispanic Business Information Clearinghouse and Entrepreneurial Development Center, a Colorado Not For Profit Corporation (?BIC?).

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreating content for the web site for the National Hispanic Business Information Clearinghouse and Entrepreneurial Development Center (?BIC?)Helping direct and design the BIC website to ensure quality, accuracy and useabilityMonitoring trends and recommending changes and upgrades needed to ensure that the BIC site remains current and user friendlyMaintain the web site and provides web technology solutions and services.Create monitoring reports and logs and ensure functionality of linksDevelop and report access and user statistics from the BIC websites for demographic evaluations and aid in interpreting results and success of websiteDesign, build and maintain web pages using a variety of software applicationsResponsible for ensuring the overall success and integrity of the BIC web site through constant review of contentPerforms other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSFour (4) year degree in Computer Science, Communications, English or JournalismTwo (2) years experience in a similar position including web content development or web designKnowledge of search engine best practicesFamiliarity with HTML, Javascript or similar coding toolsKnowledge of and ability to use web-based content management tools and databasesKnowledge of Microsoft Office, Photoshop, video editing and other design toolsKnowledge of standard web design principles including browser capabilities, screen resolutions, file formats and web color paletteWritten and spoken bilingual (Spanish-English) required
