Business Analyst - EDI

Assist in medium complex projects to define business systems requirements and recommend appropriate solutions. May conduct training sessions on systems solutions to business users. Participate in the evaluation of new applications and the identification of systems requirements for planning purposes. Complete system configuration changes for current business applications. Typically requires two to three years of experience in the business and/or systems analysis.Transaction set-up in various EDI translators (Gentran:Server 5.3, Gentran for Mainframe, Shared EDI) and applications (Shared Systems, Innatrack, SAP R2, SAP R3).
Collaborates with business and ISS partners to develop, test, and implement new partnerships and customer programs.
Working closely with the module configuration experts and with programmers.
Ensures the EDI configuration and modifications effectively integrate with associated processes and design.
Engages with business partners to improve effectiveness and efficiency of data exchange.
Critically examines and provides solutions to Level II Helpdesk call.
Assists in review of related training materials.
Communicate with internal and external customers.
Perform analysis for issue resolution.
Develop, test, and implement map creations, modifications, and deletions.
Perform and validate testing per established standards.Four-year college degree in computer science, information systems or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
One year+ related EDI experience.
Familiarity with SAP business processes and Manugistics helpful.
Provide excellent analytical and trouble shooting skills.
Ability to work independently, including the ability to independently identify issues and associated solutions, drive tasks and projects to completion on a timely basis, update management on task status, and escalate issues appropriately.
Familiarity with Sterling Commerce products (Gentran, Connect:Direct, Gentran Integration Suite) preferred.
