Business Analyst, Home Entertainment

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Be a part of NBC-Universal's Home Entertainment business that contains an award-winning catalog of Home Entertainment titles. Individual will support financial systems for a 3 billion dollar business unit.
Serve as key contact to user community for gathering and validating business requirements.
Liaison between the business users and technical teams to build reporting solutions based on the business requirements - provide a single point of contact for user communication (manage issue tracking, prioritization and resolution)
Work closely with user community to determine business needs and process changes utilizing Six Sigma methodology and practices
Perform system and data analysis - develop functional requirements, specifications and functional design
Develop detailed QA and UAT test plans, conduct system testing -prepare training materials, conduct user training and maintain system documentation
Provide regular verbal and written status reports to IT management and business community; publish meeting minutes and maintain project plans.
Maintain productive relationships with vendors
Engage key business users in future user acceptance testing cycles.
Conduct user training as needed.
Collaborate with other IT teams to support business requirements
Learn current and "To-Be" systems and business processes
Suggest innovative approaches to solve complex business problems
Develop process and application design, resolve issues, and gain design buyoff

Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years IT experience
Bachelor's Degree or minimum 4 years Entertainment Industry experience or minimum 4 years Business Analyst experience
Minimum of 4 years experience with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, & PowerPoint

Desired:
Media / entertainment and information technology experience.
Home Entertainment experience
Black Belt/Green Belt or Six Sigma experience
Must demonstrate ability to quickly get up to speed on a project in progress
Ability to adjust to changing priorities and participation on multiple projects
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Proven ability to work independently and efficiently under aggressive deadlines to meet project commitments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

General:
Reports to Manager, Home Entertainment, Desktop Applications
Support during non-business hours as needed
Results-oriented with history of problem resolution and prevention
