BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT

Under limited supervision of a Project Manager, IT Technology Delivery manager or IT Director, Technology Delivery the Business Analyst III (aka Senior Business Analyst) is an Information Technology professional who leads in the development of functional requirements, functional design, implementation and support of the Brunswick Boat Group software products and services.
This position is responsible for specifying, designing, configuring, testing, and implementing PLM processes for a large manufacturing company.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

'X Uses established fact-finding procedures, knowledge of pertinent work processes and procedures, and familiarity with related programming practices, system software, and computer equipment to provide required analysis of business problems
'X Identifies, qualifies and presents requirements that represent the needs of the business and the system/process under investigation
'X Understands multiple business functions and processes and can easily move among different disciplines
'X Thoroughly understands and effectively facilitates the execution of required process changes
'X Evaluates the ?'as-is?? and ?'to-be?? business processes of the system/process under investigation and recommends cost-effective solutions involving process changes and/or application of new technology
'X Participates in cost/benefit analysis and measurement objectives of the assigned area of responsibility and /or project
'X Develops conceptual and functional specifications derived from the business requirements for the system/process under investigation
'X In collaboration with the technology delivery team, validates that technical design specifications meet the appropriate fitness and use requirements expressed in the functional design
'X Applies established procedures where the nature of the system, feasibility, computer equipment, and programming language have already been decided
'X Creates and executes integration and system test plans and scripts on structured and unstructured technology projects
'X Makes decisions and recommendations on project priorities, functional design changes, process improvements and problem resolution
'X Manages own work priorities and participates in development of project plans, schedules and cost estimating
'X Participates as a member on multi-function teams and project planning activities, helps to ensure that projects are completed in a timely and cost effective manner
'X Researches routine user problems and solves them by modifying existing systems when solutions follow clear precedents; works within defined objectives, priorities, and deadlines, and adapts guidelines to specific situations
'X Receives general instructions for specific and ongoing assignments and refers problems and unfamiliar situations to supervisor
'X Ensures that accurate and thorough business analysis documentation is maintained throughout the life of an application
'X Responsible for developing change management strategy in support of the project and/or area of assigned responsibility
'X Provides mentoring and training of department business analysis staff; contributes to evaluations of junior business analysis staff members
'X May train end users on established and emerging programs
'X Provides on-call support and problem resolution for computer applications
'X Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems
'X Perform PLM process-oriented consulting with Key Users

QUALIFICATIONS
Seven years of progressively responsible experience in defining and implementing management information solutions based on formal systems/process analysis, data modeling and design techniques
Requires analytical ability, creativity and judgment in analyzing, developing and implementing software solutions to complex requirements
Proficient in project management techniques and supporting tools (i.e. PMBOK, Lean Six Sigma, PEP; Visio, UML, MicroSoft Project Professional 2000 / 2003)
Proficient in use of MicroSoft Office products (i.e. MS-Word, Excel, Access)
Requires a Bachelor??s degree in computer science or related files
Minimum 2 years of UGS Teamcenter experience
Strong in UGS Teamcenter PLM with at least one full cycle implementation experience with large manufacturing company
Hands-on UGS Teamcenter PLM configuration experience
Experience in configuring Engineering Change Management
Experience in a Project System is a plus
