Business Analyst (JAD facilitation and strong RUP experience)
CIBER is currently looking for a Sr. Business Analyst with strong RUP knowledge, JAD facilitation and UML experience. This opportunity is a long-term engagement with one of CIBER?s Federal government clients. Candidate should have knowledge and experience with all phases of RUP, especially the activities and artifacts of the Inception and Elaboration phases. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
The position requires the following experience and abilities:
? Applies process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects.
? Duties include activity diagramming and data modeling, developing modern business methods, identifying best practices and creating and assessing performance measurements.
? Responsible for effective transitioning of existing project teams and the facilitation of project teams in the accomplishment of project activities and objectives.
? Provides group facilitation, interviewing, training, and provides additional forms of knowledge transfer.
? Provide key coordination between multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of reengineering efforts.
? Business Analysis of large application systems, requirements gathering/analysis/documentation, and client interaction.
? Help facilitate, manage and communicate the change process associated with a project.
? Assist in determining appropriate changes to business strategies and in implementing the changes, as appropriate.
? Facilitate JAD sessions and gather requirements from those JAD sessions.
? Analyze business processes and information needs and document those processes with use cases.
? Translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements using RUP/UML artifacts.
? Facilitate the identification of and analysis of automation alternatives.
? Promote adherence to standardized processes, strategic principles, and architectural standards.
? Good oral, written, and interpersonal skills; Ability to analyze problems and articulate them appropriately
? Prior Government clearance preferred and ability to pass a background investigation, drug screen, credit and criminal.
? Bachelor's degree in business or other technical specialty.
