Business Analyst/POS

Our client is seeking a Contract Business Analyst to work on Point of Sale application. The candidate will collaborate with internal Business Analyst for the definition of functional and non-functional requirements for a centralized electronic journal system and a re-design of returns functionality for international retail business. Most of the interaction with stakeholders will be via conference calls; however, some travel (up to 25%) may be required. The team dynamic will be fast paced with high expectations from the Project Manager, the development organization, and the business community. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team and the application vendor to define realistic and feasible requirements through skilled facilitation and elicitation, workflow and system modeling and business process design.

Experience working in geographically distributed teams, demonstrated experience with retail POS applications, and experience with planning is required. Oral and written communication skills and the ability to document Use Cases is essential. Experience in planning and execution of JAD sessions and in the design of business processes; and the ability to manage expectations is required. Candidates must have a strong ability to manage scope. Applicants must have experience with functional and non-functional requirements elicitation and documentation.
