Business Analyst - Procurement

PRIMARY DUTIES:?
- Function as a Business Analyst for the following applications:
- Ariba, the firm's procurement system.
- Accounts Payable NET, the firm's front-end web application for SAP Accounts Payable.
- Expense Transfer Web, the firm's front-end web application for SAP General Ledger.
- EDI, electronic AP invoice processing. Support EDIWEB, as
necessary.
- Procurement Decision Support System, SAP Business Warehouse based financial reporting system consisting of AP, MM, and Ariba financial data.
- Assist the IT Product Owner with the following activities:
- Gather, analyze and document business requirements requested/defined by business owners.
- Manage product functionality by defining detailed functional requirements.
- Create project charters for small projects and maintain related PMO documents.
- Project management responsibilities.
- Work closely with development teams as needed to ensure functional requirements are clearly understood, provide testing support, and participate in DRB (Design Review Board) meetings.
- Provide production support, while utilizing the Unicenter ServicePlus Service Desk tool.
- Participate on Ariba PMO calls with the business owners, held twice per week. Ability to chair the calls and provide updates on
releases / fixes / enhancements and other topics.
- Coordinate system lifecycle activities with our SPS, Accounting and PCard business teams, SAP General Ledger Financial Operations, SAP (FO, AP, ABAP, Basis) and other IT application teams, PMO group, Integration teams, QA, Security, Site Tech, Help Desks, Training, and other external entities (i.e. suppliers, banks, leasing agents, Ariba Tech. Support, etc.).??
- Support upcoming Procure to Pay (part of OS&T 2009 initiatives) activities.
- Process and data analysis associated with E-Procurement solutions utilizing Microsoft Windows 2003, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, BEA WebLogic 8.1, Microsoft IIS 6.0, and Crystal Enterprise 10.
- Assist in configuration tasks and provide required assistance to development teams for new releases of Procurement applications and various enhancements to the system.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills will be required when working closely with various entities, to efficiently
develop and support E- Procurement solutions.? Must be a team player within the Procurement team, as well as across numerous ITS, non-ITS, and D&T external entities.
- Must adhere to appropriate ITS project methodology (includes system documentation, Security & ERS reqs. etc.)??

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:
?
- Prior experience with Ariba Buyer, ASP.NET applications, SAP Bus. Warehouse or SAP Business Intelligence is a plus.
- Prior experience and knowledge of programming languages such as Java 2.0, JavaScript, XML, HTML, Perl, and ASP.NET is a plus.
- Knowledge of Windows 2003, Microsoft IIS 6.0, SQL Server 2000 (SQL, PL/SQL) is a plus.
- Large ERP software packages (SAP, etc.) experience beneficial.
- Must be detail oriented and have ability to help resolve time-critical production problems. ?Ability to multitask.
- Expert problem solver.?Finding simple answers to complex questions or problems.?Thinking outside the box.?Uses knowledge gained through
prior experience, education, training to resolve issues and remove project barriers.
- Work effectively in a team environment.? Ability to work with, and to establish sound working relationships.
- Able to work independently with limited direction from supervisor.
- Bachelors' degree in Computer Science OR Business Information Systems OR relevant technical training OR equivalent work experience required.??
- 1-3 years exp. in the support and development of financial OR procurement applications is beneficial.
