Business Analyst (SR)

Our client, a major investment bank located in New York City, seeks a Business Analyst (SR). This role will be responsible for gathering/defining of the business requirements from the client. The Business Analyst will be writing business process documents, system analysis documents, functional document, technical document, and project plans. The selected candidate will also be responsible for designing technical specifications with the team's tech lead and implementing the design at times by himself or herself or with the development team. This individual will be expected to work with QA and users directly during the application testing. The Business Analyst is responsible for production support for the applications working directly with the users.

You should have 10+ years of related experience in the following areas: developing financial systems and providing liaison function with business units and technology group; Experience with custom application development projects using SDLC process; Good oral & written communication skills; Requirements gathering techniques (interviewing or JAD facilitation); Experience in producing project plans. You must be proficient in C# programming language, have extensive hands on experience on ASP.Net, ADO.Net, CSS, XML/XSL style sheets and be familiar with development tools such as VS.Net and Visual SourceSafe. A good understanding in Object-Oriented Programming/Design is needed including experience in C# component-based programming and window service programming. Expertise in T-SQL stored procedure programming with MS-SQL Server and expertise in ASP programming using VB Script, ADO, Visual Basic, Java Script and HTML are required. Ability to design, organize, and implement module, perform system testing, plan and automate tasks to maintain existing system is needed, as is the ability to research and troubleshoot application problems. We need a highly motivated team player that is always eager to learn new technologies and has excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. You should understand IIS and have the capability to do basic web server support. Familiarity with Crystal Report designer and Crystal Enterprise Server 10 and up is required, as is in depth understanding of application development process. Business application experience, experience with web based business applications, and relational database design experience are a must. Excellent communication skills must include writing proposals, specifications, and presentations. You must have good organizational skills and the ability the track and prioritize several tasks. Ability to work in a team environment is essential. Bachelor Degree in CS or Engineering is needed at a minimum.
