JOB TITLE: Business Analyst Team Lead-functional

JOB SUMMARY:

Work with business leaders to establish requirements and priorities. Create project request forms and establish project timeline. Ensure teams time is properly allocated and is working efficiently with in the guidelines of the plan. Work with the technical team to ensure functional business needs are being met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


1. Works with business leaders to obtain information on their needs, current operational procedures, data input, and reporting requirements.

2. Formulates logical statements of business requirements. Will be responsible for thoroughly and effectively communicating these requirements to technical staff. Responsible for providing detailed functional specifications for user evaluation and approval.

3.Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost effective solution for system design considering existing systems, available technology, the capacity and limitations of equipment, operating time and form of the desired results.

4. Creates models of systems for evaluating the design and explaining the desired results.

5.Prepares charts, tables and other diagrams (besides models) to assist in analyzing problems, utilizing various business, scientific and engineering/mathematical techniques.

6. Must work with technical team to develop systems that are flexible and do not require hard coding of programs.

7.Develops tests scripts for testing programmed components using both manual testing and automated test scripts using testing programming tools.

8.Works with technical staff & manages testing life cycle.

9.Analyzes test results and communicates to users.

10.Provides end users with detailed documentation for all enhancements. Responsible for ensuring user understands fully all enhancements.

11. Ensures effective communication between programming staff and end users to ensure project requirements are met.

12.Research reported user related issues.

13.Responsible for 24x7; 365 days per year support which may include weekends, nights and holidays.

14. Responsible for Project Management, may be accountable for determining steps and meeting related deadlines. Must effectively communicate with Application Manager/Director and end users regarding all project related activities. Must coordinate with multiple user groups as well as IT groups simultaneously.

15. May be required to analyze/test/manage projects/enhancements which cross applications.

16.Must be able to understand technical designs, and ensure they are in line with business requirements and the departmental procedures. Must be able to provide constructive feedback and opinions to technical staff regarding technical design, as well as Application Manager/Director and end users.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor*s Degree or equivalent plus a minimum of five years experience including payroll, benefits, HR, and time entry. Knowledge of object modeling, the ability to conceptualize and convert business processes into computer applications and in-depth knowledge of computer systems. Knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Microsoft Project Server, Microsoft Project Professional and Microsoft Access required. Effective communication and presentation skills also required.
