Business Analyst - VBA/Excel/Testing

Job Description:
Main Function Of The Job: We are looking for someone who can do Business analysis and development of new functionality in a cross asset pricing and risk system covering Interest Rate Derivatives, Fixed Income & FX. Liaison with front and middle office to ensure valuations / workflow are correct for the various product types. Regression, system and UAT testing to ensure system meets requirements.

Main Duties: Analysis, development and testing of a pricing and risk system for IR vanilla and structured products, bonds, fx and money markets products. Work may also involve development and testing of Emerging Markets specific enhancements to the systems. In the longer term, the role may evolve into support of the new strategic risk system in C++ / C# and Excel / VBA. The support element may involve some out of hours support.

Job Experience:
Qualifications /Education:
Essential: Good Degree in Scientific or Mathematic Discipline.
Preferred: Physics, Engineering, Maths, from a top university.

Experience required:
Essential
-Understanding of pricing and front to back processes for IRD
- Systems and UAT Testing of large-scale systems
- Testing/reconciliation between systems
- Interest rate derivatives experience is desirable but not required. Will train the right candidate if enthusiastic with a good financial background.

Preferred
- Understanding of front to back process for IRD
- Relational Databases
- Use of XML
- Strong VBA / Excel development skills (c. 5yrs experience)

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Natural aptitude for analysis and design.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Methodical, aptitude for effective testing of systems.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.
- Must be willing to travel for short periods.
- Solid technical understanding of MS platform
