Business Analyst (non-IT) w/ prior Loan or Credit Processing exp.

xScion Solutions is currently supporting a leading financial/mortgage client with some of their consulting needs. We are looking for 3 Business Analysts, but not the IT type.  Details are as follows:

The assignment would be in the loan acquisitions area. This particular group "connects" sales (which works w/the primary customer) and IT (which processes the data). The loan and loan pool information comes from the primary customers (think Wells Fargo mortgage or a bank) and goes into this company's internal IT systems. This group often deals with the exceptions which don't process i.e. go into the internal system cleanly. You will look very closely at the incoming loans and pool data elements (i.e. all loans that mature by 2025 or at interest rates or the pass through rate or the guarantee fees) and make sure they are complete and accurate. Research and reconcile the data. Ability to multi-task and strong communication and strong organization skills. Very detail oriented. This supports the Single Family group.

Ideal candidate needs excellent customer facing skills since you will sometimes have to contact clients directly to get the correct information

Required: detail oriented. MS-Excel. Good customer facing skills and oral communication skills. Understanding of elementary accounting principles and math, a basic understanding of contracts,


Note: You MUST HAVE prior experience in a credit card processing or mortgage loan processing capacity and/or finance. (An ex-mortgage loan processor would be great).

In the beginning you will work mostly with "vanilla" accounts as you learn the systems and come up to speed. After a month or so you will move on to more complex accounts.
