Business Intelligence Applications Manager:

 

Controls, directs, and supports business intelligence applications to support the Syspro ERP/CRM applications environment and the organizations? business processes. The position is responsible for all SQL server database administration, security, backup and data integrity.  This position will support critical business strategies by directing the development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of business databases and applications systems. Formulates business systems architecture plans, estimates costs, and ensures projects meet strategic needs.

 

Job Functions:

 Controls, directs, and supports all business intelligence applications and databasesProvides database and application development support for the ERP/CRM enterprise teamProvides direct business intelligence reporting support to the CEO, CFO, CIO and other senior managementMaintains business intelligence queries, data cubes, and data extracts directly from Syspro databasesResponsible for troubleshooting database issues related to business intelligence reporting and the ERP/CRM application Responsible for development and on-going maintenance of procedure manualsAssist End Users in the use of company technologies and platforms to improve efficienciesResponsible for testing and applying database application upgrades and patches, minimizing downtimeParticipate in software design projects with other 3rd parties as neededCoordinate implementation related efforts, including: planning, installation, testing, training, etc.Propose resolutions to system / process inconsistencies; create new processes as required.Responsible for technology compliance and participation in testing reviews of Sarbanes Oxley 404

 

Competencies:

 Excellent understanding of common industry standard business practices as related to Finance, Distribution, Manufacturing and CRM.Ability to develop thorough understanding of business process and its correlation with the company?s SystemsTen years experience with database administration, security, and developmentFive years experience with database and application disaster recovery development, implementation, and administrationExtensive hands-on experience with application delivery using SQL Server 2005 and Visual Studio 2005Implementation experience with SharePoint Services, SQL Server, Project Server, Server 2000, and Microsoft ExchangeImplementation experience with secure remote access including VPN, Terminal Service/Citrix and web based SolutionsExperience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based systems and application deliveryDemonstrated troubleshooting skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills Highly enthusiastic, positive-minded, service-oriented individualProcess and detail orientedDiplomacy in dealing with clients, both internal and external, and consultantsMust tolerate frequent unscheduled interruptionsStrong follow up skillsProven track record of completing projects that meet expectations Direct experience with the implementation of a Sarbanes Oxley compliant processes, applications and database systems

 

Education/Experience:

 4-year undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in business/information systems10 years of experience in the field or in a related area2 years of direct work with Syspro ERP/CRM systems and related business applications and reporting tools
