FOCUS:
Secondary support for Business Objects and other enterprise reporting tools. This includes monitoring environment, upgrading software, support phone rotation and supporting projects during releases, upgrades and project implementations
To manage batch job environment across the enterprise to enable load balancing, eliminate duplication and monitor overall performance.
Assist in administration of web tools such as Survey Solutions, IIS, Verity Search, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Initial software installation, setup and configuration of environments
Maintain technical currency of reporting and web application software through upgrades
Perform workload monitoring, trend analysis and capacity planning
Administer process controls including tool access, password resets, report publishing and scheduling
Maintain library of documentation for software installation media
Production support assistance, including rotate support phone
Communicate with software and hardware vendors to troubleshoot and tune applications and environments
Manage centralized report scheduling

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience is acceptable
One to three years of in-depth experience in the technical support of the package application network, database, web and application server performance
Experience in technical infrastructure and operations support environment is desirable
Ability to handle package application system administration
Demonstrated experience working well with customers of varying levels of technical
Capable of performing tasks in changing situations and, under stress, optimizing availability of system services to users
Ability to absorb and implement new technologies and procedures
Strong team player
