Position Title

Business Process Engineer (Business Architect)

Job Brief (Purpose)

The qualified candidate will lead business process change.

Working as a process design champion in a business facing cross functional team, the qualified candidate will facilitate and drive both top-down and bottom-up business process change.  This position is not a systems analyst position and is not involved in the derivation of system requirements from business requirements; rather the qualified candidate must possess strong business process re-engineering and business process design skills.

The qualified candidate will scope a business problem in terms of business processes and identify any related objectives, issues, performance indicators and success factors.  The qualified candidate will use the scoping, indicators and objectives to lead the team to a competitive and value added future state. 

The qualified candidate must be proficient in the decomposition and analysis of value chains and business processes in terms of inputs, outputs, guides and enablers.

Required Qualifications

? Bachelor?s degree in Organizational Design, Human Change Management, or related discipline, or equivalent extensive and related experience

? 7+ years of experience in  business process redesign

? 3+ years of business process reengineering

? Strong ability to work with business reference models

? Expertise in broad set of modeling methodologies, modeling tools and techniques

? Strong skills in Modeling Business Processes, Roles, Organizations

? Deep understanding of tying business value to process and process to infrastructure

? Strong leadership capabilities

? Strong written and verbal communications skills

? Have an aptitude to learn and apply new technologies

Preferred Qualifications

? Banking/Financial Services industry knowledge

? Working knowledge of workflow and SOA.

? Program/Project Management experience

? Industry certifications

? Experience with Business Process Management Systems and Standards

Working Relationships

? Work with lines of business in the reengineering of business processes.

? Work with the business and HR to understand the human impact of process redesign.

? Work with Enterprise Architects on tying business process design/redesign to technical infrastructure and roadmaps.

? Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external clients as needed to clarify business, operational, or technical requirements
