Business System Analyst II-Hyperion Applications

Position Purpose:

Position focus will be on support for Hyperion Planning applications.  Ensure integration and effective use of Zebra?s Business Systems in support of the Finance business area, specifically support of the corporate budget and of the demand planning processes.  Assist in developing and maintaining custom developed or packaged software and system integrations.  Assist with the review and evaluation of proposed upgrades to Zebra?s Business Systems and related applications from software suppliers. 

 

Job Description:

Support of the various functional areas.  Included in this are:

? Participation in monthly status review meetings with functional management and super users.

? Aid the functional area in the creation of business systems request/justifications for new development and enhancement requests.

? Lead the training of super users on the use of Zebra?s business systems

? Maintenance of customer issues and requests utilizing Zebra IS?s help desk system.

? Makes sure process improvement activities are coordinated with all affected worldwide areas of the business.

 

Business System Analysis and Design

? Lead in the definition of functional business process or system requirements.

? Creation of use cases to drive out requirements and to assist in application testing

? Write functional specifications and ensure accuracy of the functional spec with the business

? Conceptual understanding of design documents

? Analysis and documentation of process improvements using analytical tools (DEM, Visio, etc.)

 

Support project management requirements

? Estimate efforts for assigned tasks

? Proactively communicate to management when project tasks and timelines can not be met

 

Engages in specialized project management

? May be dedicated to one large facilities based project

? Leads small departmental projects or multi-site projects under the guidance of a Sr. Project Manager

? Takes risks under the guidance of Manager, Business Systems Functional or a Sr. Project Manager

 

Attend software vendor conferences and represent Zebra interests by requesting improvements.

Adhere to Zebra IS?s policies, procedures, and development/ project management methodologies

Responsibility to include support of existing business systems

Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

Education:

BS in Business, Accounting or Related field required.

 

Experience:

2-5 years business analysis or related experience in functional area.

Considered specialist in area of expertise.

 

Skills Required:

1. Strong working knowledge of Hyperion planning applications (Demand planning, Expense planning, Workforce planning).

2. Familiar with corporate budget and sales and operation (SOP) processes

3. Experience working in a discete manufacturing or repair environment

4. Must have ability to multi-task in a highly matrix-ed organization

5. Project management

Other:

1. Experience in collecting business requirements, writing functional specifications, preparing test plans, and developing use cases.

2. Good writing and presentation skills a must.

3. Experience leading small projects is preferred.
