Business System Analyst / Project Manager

Sykes Enterprises, Incorporated is looking for a Business System Analyst / Project Manger to fill a contract position at a customer site in New York City, NY.   This is an assignment through February 2007 with the possibility of extension.  This Project Management/Program Analyst position requires someone with excellent oral, written and communication skills. He or she must be able to clearly explain needs and situations to all levels of staff.


Excellent writing skills including spelling and grammar essential.
Strong MS Office skills for project planning and reporting.
Will be creating user manuals and training materials.


BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Global Security Program Analyst works with Global Security to develop, implement and maintain technology-based solutions that will increase safety, improve service, lower operating costs and improve decision-making. The Analyst will use a systematic approach to organize and document system requirements and overall project progress. 

 

Principal Responsibilities:

? Review & analyze a business environment.

? Document and manage business requirements.

? Write use cases for new application development.

? Provide status to team leads and project managers.

? Work closely with the technical staff, QA and customer to ensure that developed functionality meets requirements.

? Work with the customer on all areas of implementation, including process and procedure description, test case development, process testing, training, measurement and reporting.

? Create and maintain user guides, reference manuals, and training materials as appropriate.

? Train and support clients in new business processes.

 

Required Competencies:

? Manage moderate sized systems implementation projects

? Experience in writing business requirements.

? Create project development, implementation and contingency plans

? Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical staff and convey complex ideas both verbally and in written form.

? Ability to work at a detailed level while maintaining and retaining the 'big picture' of the overall system design.

? Ability to work in a team environment.

? Excellent interpersonal skills - needed in working with customers and various levels of staff.

? Ability to translate business requirements into high-level and detailed functional specifications.

? Business process modeling.

? Superior PC skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
