Business Systems Analyst (COGNOS)

This is not a COGNOS developer position. This is a Business Systems Analyst position with Cognos skills

 

This new team member will focus on the design and build components of the reporting section for the Underwriting organizations. The person can expect to hold the following responsibility set:

* Interpret requirements from Use Cases, User Experience and supplemental specifications and incorporate them into application design.
* Design, write, and test code in support of business initiatives
* Interact with Systems Analyst and Quality Assurance teams
* Develop reports using Cognos, Power Play, and Report Net
* Interact with architecture engineering team to leverage existing frameworks and architectures
* Identify and design efficient and cost effective solutions through research and evaluation of alternatives


Qualifications:
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills are a must
* Experience developing applications in complex development environments involving multiple platforms
* Proficiency with Cognos, Power Play, and Report Net
* Experience designing and developing XML bases services
* Working knowledge of all phases of the software development lifecycle
