Business Systems Analyst - Finance

Supply chain operations are located in the United States, Mexico, and abroad. Sales offices and product development centers are located throughout North America. Products are distributed through a network of distribution centers in the United States. The corporate headquarters is located in Columbus, Ohio, and business units are headquartered in Lancaster, Ohio (Anchor Hocking & WearEver).

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The ideal candidate for this high profile position will have excellent technical & business skills in the Oracle Financials & Reporting areas.  He/She will interface with senior members of the Finance and IT teams to come up with innovative solutions to complex business problems.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Work with key group leads to analyze problems, identify opportunities, then provide recommendations that meet business needs and best utilize Oracle features and capabilities. Responsible for determining the scope of enhancements, analyzing problems/opportunities, providing recommendations and working with business users to implement technical solutions to complex business problems. Identify, prioritize, and clearly articulate business requirements that can be used by both the business and technical groups. Interface heavily with Finance and Information Technology department members to implement new functionality in the Oracle Financials systems to support key strategic business priorities. Work with technical team to validate the design and delivery of software and architecture modifications meet business requirements. Prepare systems requirements documentation to include feasibility studies, current/proposed processes, functional/technical specifications, business/system interfaces and data flows. Act as mentor to the user community by providing subject matter expertise and identifying user-training needs. Work effectively with IT Outsource Vendors to prioritize work and ensure all IT resources are being effectively utilized and deliverables meet quality standards. This position is highly visible to leadership. Strong communication skills are essential.

Required Qualifications:B.S. or B.A. Degree, (accounting major strongly preferred) Three to five years of working experience with an ERP solution (preferably Oracle 11i) Experience in leading functional Business groups through requirements documentation & business case development. Proven technical / functional experience with some / all the following areas: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Trade Management, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, ADI, FSGs, and Discoverer. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Proven advanced PC skills using MS Office products? particularly Excel. Team player attitude with excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills. Highly motivated with the ability to work independently within dynamic work environment.

Other skills that are desirable:.Demonstrated experience working with Oracle 11i

? Three to five years experience in the Consumer Products or Packaged Goods industry.
