Works with internal and external sources to obtain information on provider networks for new geographic locations.  Functions as a project team member representing the department in various task forces and committees.  Performs more complex reports and maps to support decision-making process regarding new network markets, including usage of GEO Networks for both analysis and mapping results.  Provides complex analysis on projects for Department Management, MBUs, Regulatory, and other management officials regarding current or alternative networks  Provides consulting on complex projects, database structures, or process improvements. Monitors healthcare market place and trends to assess new opportunities for competitive practices, alternate delivery models, etc. Functions as technical resource within the group or business area to resolve or facilitate complex issues.  Assist in the training of less experienced analysts. Develops, formulates and devises methods or procedures to solve or automate work processes within the area.  Performs other related duties as required.



Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or the equivalent.  Minimum of 3 - 5 years analytical reporting experience.  Knowledge of SQL, ACCESS, GeoAccess, Tablebase, MapInfor, FoxPro, Wellpoint’s data warehouses or datamarts are preferred or any combination of education/experience, which would provide an equivalent background.  Strong business and operational knowledge and understanding of healthcare operations and/or network services.
