Summary:
Primarily within GTECH?s Corporate Finance, Global Technology Group (GTG) and Enterprise Systems (ES) groups, work with business stakeholders to:
1)Improve business operations and process performance;
2)Manage (hands-on) the Systems Development Lifecycle for both custom-built and purchased applications; and,
3)Act as the Information Technology liaison among Corporate Finance, GTG and ES.
Applications include various SAP modules (principally Finance & Controlling and Project Systems, and secondarily Sales & Distribution, Materials Management) as well as custom applications (e.g., GCAST resource management). Critical near-term needs include managing the SAP R3 Project Systems re-engineering project and on-going support of Project Systems. Business Unit, process and applications responsibility may change as business conditions warrant.

Principal Activities and Responsibilities:
-Work with business partners to evaluate the ?as-is? business operation and processes, and to define the ?to-be? state based upon business requirements and best practices.
-Recommend solutions and build business case to improve business process performance with consideration of ES?s enabling technology strategy and standards. Provide functional expertise, guidance, presentation, and instruction on software applications to Corporate Finance and GTG.
-Fill the role as Program Manager and/or Project Manager, while partnering with Corporate Finance, GTG, and ES to manage initiatives using appropriate Program and Project Management practices, especially progress reporting.
-Drive and utilize project management tools (Scope Statements, Risk Assessments, Prioritized Requirements, Test Plans, etc.). Plan and lead frequent status and checkpoint meetings to review progress, changes and action items.
-Communicate, in a timely manner, both verbally and in writing, to project stakeholders.
-Upon completion of projects, conduct a formalized closure through post project reviews in which project information is analyzed for continuous improvement.
Document functional requirements, conversions, upgrades, -interfaces, reports, forms and workflow, on a Business Requirements Document (BRD).
-Configure SAP application functionality (hands-on) as required.
-Ensure appropriate end-user acceptance testing and training.


Requirements:

Skill Requirements:
-In-depth understanding and expertise in SAP Finance & Controlling and Project Systems. Understanding of Sales & Distribution and Material Management nice-to-have.
-In-depth understanding and experience with project methodologies (e.g., PMI, ValueSAP).
-In-depth understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
-Demonstrated leadership, expectations management, and customer focus skills.
-Ability to gather, document and address both business and technical requirements.

Qualifications:
-Track record for initiating and leading company-wide changes based on industry best practices. 5+ years of project management experience leading enterprise initiatives at company(s) over 500M in sales.
-7+ years of SAP configuration experience principally within the Finance & Controlling and Project Systems modules but also some experience (1-3 year equivalent) with configuration within Sales & Distribution and Materials Management modules.
-A BA or BS in computer science, MIS, or other related field.
