Bussiness Support Manager

My client, a 750 million dollar Publicly traded international company, is seeking a Business Support Manager (BSM). The BSM reports to the General Manager of the North America Western area. The Business Support Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the financial reporting of the Western business unit- ensuring that all internal and external reporting is accurate and issued timely. As part of the leadership team, this senior role will be a partner to all aspects of the business (including Sales, Operations and Management) providing detailed information and financial insight into how further business efficiencies can be gained. Liaising with other parts of the company in other regions, the BSM will implement best practice within the West area. Key elements to the role include: You will have a strong understanding of financial statements including the inter-relationships of margin, operating leverage and return on capital, as well as the metrics needed to drive operating income. You will have a detailed knowledge of required financial, systems and process controls to ensure financial and business integrity. The roll represents a key liaison with the North America finance and internal audit teams as well as key point of contact for impending ERP implementation. You will be able to interpret data to deliver high-quality information to the business that will assist in the business attaining targets. You will also be happy to challenge the business status quo and drive out inefficiencies. You will interpret data and analysis to assist in the forming of the business¡¦ strategy. Working with colleagues to resolve problems rather than distancing yourself from difficult situations. You will embrace the need for urgency in responding to priority tasks; manage your own workload through being self motivated and actively manage your own work life. You will be able to convey detailed information in an appropriate manner to all parts of the business. Specific duty requirements, but not limited to: „X Analyze the month¡¦s financial (Income statement) performance, providing variance analysis against prior year, prior forecast and budget „X Analyze current fleet utilization and rates to assist the Salesforce with pricing decisions „X Create real-time information source (Dashboard) for the area, to facilitate management by data „X Assist in the preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budget plans, challenging the assumptions made within the process „X Oversee the area¡¦s administration function „X Monitor internal controls of business „X Consolidate competitor information and assist in preparation of competition studies Requirements: 5+ years of experience as an Analyst with early career starting as an Accountant Bachelors degree at a minimum, MBA preferred Solid understanding of Finance, Operations, and P&L
