Buyer-Indirect Procurement

Kforce is seeking a Buyer with responsibilities to include: participate in cross-functional teams, work with Operations to understand material/service requirements, clarify specific deliverables, ensure compliance with company standards and processes, coordinate with Central Purchasing to gain maximum leverage from company's corporate supply base, identify and evaluate local supply opportunities as appropriate, remain abreast of industry developments and corporate imperatives, help develop strategies to achieve objectives (quality, delivery, and total cost), process purchasing requisitions and other related documents, obtain and analyze quotations for accuracy and continually audit prices of materials and services, negotiate and issue purchase agreements to ensure achievement (of quality, delivery, and total cost requirements), participate in expediting functions to ensure timely delivery of materials, monitor supplier performance and direct resolution of complex issues (commercial, legal, and operations supply), identify and assist in implementing business process improvements.

We are seeking a college graduate (BS preferred) or someone with equivalent training to include a minimum 3-5 years of purchasing or related experience in the manufacturing environment. Strong analytical skills to resolve unusual and difficult problems as well as thorough knowledge of corporate purchasing policies and procedures are required. Candidates must also possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and intermediate-level computer skills as well as good oral and written communication skills. A high degree of planning and organization skills are required. Relocation is available.
