C++ Unix Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer on behalf of our client, Fidelity Investments.  This position is based in Boston, MA.

 

 

Summary

We are looking for an energetic individual to participate on our team in developing and supporting client server applications. These are complex business critical applications involving advanced technologies to support our Stock Loan, Repo Trading and Prime Services businesses

 

 

Responsibilities

In this role you will be involved in the analysis, design, development and deployment of complex applications. 

You will help translate complex business requirements into projects plans, defining the scope & objectives, preparing detailed functional specifications, and developing the solution.

You will be involved in supporting all phases of project completion, including coordinating efforts amongst cross-functional groups.

The candidate will be required to work with the vendor and build and maintain customizations and maintain and develop new interfaces with various systems within and outside of Fidelity







The ideal candidate should have 4-6 years experience of solid C++ development work in an UNIX environment.




Strong knowledge of Sungard's Martini product is a huge plus.




Any exposure to the Stock Loan / Repo trading function and related products is a plus.


 


Technical skills:




Demonstrable strength in C++ and Java,




Some experience with MQ Series and/or TIBCo in server-side applications development environment.
