SUMMARY:

 

COBOL main frame programmer who will analyze code, modify the application and test the change;  programmer/developer works in both batch and on-line (CICS) programs.  Follow company standards for coding and documentation of changes. 

 

EXPERIENCE

 Five years experience working as a COBOL / CICS mainframe programmerFour years working in the life insurance industry on large mainframe insurance administration systemsTwo years working with CAPSIL or Ingenium

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Analyze the problem or modification.The person will design a solution for the problem or modification.The person will code the changes needed to resolve the problem or modification.The person will unit test the changes made.The person will oversee the testing through the model office environment and into producttion

The person will document the changes and record these in the work flow tool.  There must be a clear trail for the auditors to follow.

 

SKILLS:

 Good oral and written communications are requiredExperience working in a networked environment is requiredExcellent analytical skills

 

EDUCATION:

 

Bachelors degree preferred
