Job Description: CATIA V5 Trainer

 

POSITION PURPOSE:

Provide training in CATIA V5 application for approximately 600 engineers/designers supporting a rollout of Catia V5. This position is critical to the project.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide class room delivered end-user training on CATIA V5 functionality Training administration (website, collection of training requirements for design of new classes, designing new classes as required, maintaining training needs assessments and evaluating/analyzing the evaluation forms submitted by the class participants for continuous delivery improvement) Provide individual ?one on one? training or training of small groups in optimal production utilization of CATIA V5 as needed. Possible travel to Client's eastern subsidiaries to administer training classes there. Provide 1st and 2nd level end user support as required. Maintain regular, predictable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:At least 3 years prior experience providing CATIA V5 end-user training in a large CAD environment Must have provided training in at least the following disciplines: 2D Drafting, 3D Surface & Wireframe, 3D solids, Assembly Design & Bendpart. Ability to modify course content relative to changing customer needs and able to create new courses & class materials (CAD models, slides and documentation) as needed. Ability to quickly assimilate new CATIA content. Ability to work with a diverse group of students with varying skills and different job functions. Must be willing to travel at least 10% of the time. Min. 5 years experience using CATIA in a design/engineering environment. Experience with CATIA V5, DMU, PDM, Auxview2 desired


EDUCATION:

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Equivalent experience shall also be considered.
