Senior Network Architect (CCIE)

 

We are searching for a senior level CCIE Network Architect, consultant or full-time, to join our team in Herndon, VA.

In this position you will support large environments with multiple configurations, utilizing multiple technologies. You will be responsible for the design, implementation and testing of complete systems as well as developing plans and implementing overall strategic goals of any organization's network system. Experience with switched LAN, wireless networking and WAN technologies such as Frame Relay, T1, DSL, VPN and VoIP will be required. Experience working for a VAR is also a definite plus.

In this position you will be recognized as a technical leader and resource. You will recommend alterations and enhancements to improve quality of products and/or procedures and be responsible for all internal activities and product development. You will need to demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures and rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. You may also be required to provide consultation on complex proposals and projects.

To be qualified for this position you must be an active Cisco Certified Internetworking Engineer (CCIE). You must possess a minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience analyzing, planning, designing, implementing, and troubleshooting large and complex networks for enterprise organizations. Networks must have 100 to more than 500 nodes.

A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected as well as effective written/oral communication and interpersonal skills. Some travel may be required as well as off-work hours. Management of multiple projects and a professional demeanor is a must.
