CCIE Tier 3 NOC Engineer

The Data Services Engineer III position is a tier 3 NOC engineer that demonstrates the highest level of technical ability, leadership, and strong customer focus. This position is responsible for taking daily escalations from Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers in a NOC environment as well as customers, while providing single point of contact for up to 15 assigned monitored customers. This DSE III position includes an in-depth heavy emphasis on VPN technologies, data encryption, VOIP technologies utilizing QOS, CCIE level networking, Security (Firewalls), and also entails monthly performance analyses for each
assigned monitored customer. Ultimate responsibility and accountability for assigned customer satisfaction also falls under the DSE III. A high degree of technical expertise on WAN and LAN technologies such as ATM, Frame Relay, ISDN, VPN, FRATM, MPLS, IMA, and switching are required.

Candidates should be able to work closely with Sales, Marketing, Provisioning, and all other Management entities within SBC to help drive up customer satisfaction.

Cisco CCIE Certification is required. Extensive WAN technology experience (ATM, Frame Relay, ISDN, VPN, FRATM) is also required. Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering, IT, or Business Administration. MCSE or equivalent experience. Cisco AVVID experience is a must. Experience in a diverse 24 x 7 Network Operations Center (NOC) environment.
