CONFIGURATION/RELEASE MANAGER

Fast growing, downtown Los Angeles company, is looking for a Deployment Manager to be responsible for implementing new application deployments and configuration changes into test and production environments. The Deployment Manager will drive product release readiness, coordinate resources, plan and schedule implementations/staff, manage deployment staff and resolve application deployment issues.

 

The Manager will ensure that all production changes are processed according to Change Management policies and procedures. Will ensure that products and changes are fully documented, supportable and captured in the Configuration Management Database. Will schedule all application rollouts and implementation into SQA, test and production environments. Will ensure the completeness, functionality and quality of the product and product rollout deliverables. Will ensure that appropriate levels of Quality Assurance have been met fo all new and existing products.  Will participate in Change Control Board meeting by presenting scheduled changes and resolving any change issues.

 

BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Management is required. Must have at two years of functional management experience performing career planning, employee review and employee recruiting. Must have two plus years of experience deploying or supporting client/server web based applications. Must have demonstrated project management experience deploying complex issues as an indirect leader. Must have understanding of quality improvement methodologies and have business continuity and disaster recovery familiarity.

 

Preference will be given to the candidate that has at least three years of application development,  implementation or support experience for client/server based application in a Microsoft environment.

 

This is a Contract to Hire position. Candidates must be willing to accept a salary in the $100,000+ range.
