Cerner PathNet Support Analyst(4011)

Job Description: Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. It is currently looking for a Cerner Pathnet Support Analyst to join our team inPhoenix, AZ or at a few of our California sites.

Job Responsibilities:
* Execution of projects and enhancements within the Cerner Classic PathNet Lab environment to support the business needs of clinical departments,
* Providing application support and maintenance for the Cerner Millennium Lab as well as other Lab Systems that are currently used at the CHW Account
* Providing level 2 support in response to user problems and questions regarding system functionality, operations, input/output, reporting and general operational procedures,
* Working with business users to identify requirements for maintaining application tables, dictionaries, and parameters required for system operation and configuration,
* Installing patches/fixes provided by the vendor in accordance with change control processes,
* Creating ad hoc reports and data extracts required by business customers,
* Providing after-hours ?on-call? support to troubleshoot and resolve system problems escalated by the service management team.

This position will primarily report to a clinical applications team lead, but will have matrixed responsibilities to other team leads.

Required Skills:

Knowledge of acute care department service operations, ADT and Orders processes, and their use in an acute care environment.

Clinical Application Systems Support experience

Cerner Classic PathNet experience

Acute care hospital experience

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with Cerner Millennium Lab application

AIX and/or VMS operating system, and Oracle database tool experience

* This position does require on-call. We have rotating 24x7 weekly on-call duty according to team requirements. This associate will need to be at a client facility in either AZ, CA or NV; with very little travel (less than 25%) *
