Change Management Communications Lead

The position is located in Northbrook, IL

 

Enterprise Technology Strategy and Planning oversees and implements  business solutions where multiple organizations and users share the same software and applications. ETSP Operations provides a consistent approach to managing projects and communication across ETSP.

The Business Transitions Communications Lead, working for the Business Transitions Team Lead, will manage all the communications and stakeholders assessments for all named projects.  The Communication Lead will work with others on the BT team (BT Team Lead and Training Lead) to help projects realize benefits using the change management (BT) framework.

 

The individual will be responsible for

1. Manage the communication work stream for multiple projects in various phases (ie planning, estimating and delivery). CL is responsible for establishing appropriate workplan and milestones, and ensuring effective communications delivery
2. CL will have strong management skills and will manage changing resources such as communications consultants on various projects.
3. Will have strong demonstrated tactical communication delivery skills such as, creating power point slides, newsletters, surveys, intranet communications, etc
4. CL will educate and guide project teams and clients on communication approach and effective deliverables.  CL will communicate effectively with project teams and business clients to sell the business transitions value message.
5. CL will have strong listening and facilitation skills used in working with all levels of the organization, (end-users, subject matter experts, business clients, project teams, etc); will demonstrate proactive development and innovation of business transitions processes and competencies based on continual benchmarking and knowledge sharing.

 

The skills required are:

1. Advanced - Demonstrated competency in the following core skills: Stakeholder Assessment, Communication Planning and Communications Delivery.
2. Advanced - Change Management consulting experience in the context of enterprise process/application redesign and implementation projects. This includes facilitation and coaching skills.
3. Advanced - Project Management skills including estimating, planning and managing resources
4. Advanced - Listening and Collaborative decision-making.
5. Intermediate - Knowledge of the insurance industry, Allstate and its business processes.

 

Experience Required:
Three-five years Big Five (or equivalent) change management/communications consulting/ project management experience or internal change management/communications consulting preferred.  SAP implementation background preferred but not a prerequisite.

 

Computer Proficiency:
MS Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Project:  Advanced skill level.

Education:
Masters/MBA- Preferred
Major preference: College degree required.  MBA or MS with concentration in Communications.
