Description: The Chief Technology Officer is responsible for providing business and technology leadership and vision for the company. The CTO will work with executive team to develop the appropriate technology vision and strategy, striking a balance between: (1) alignment with the growth objectives of the enterprise and business units; (2) higher performance and quality improvements in measurable ways; and (3) cost effective technology structure to create a market leader. A critical aspect of the role will be working directly with the product and executive teams to define and develop streamlined processes for the creation and delivery of integrated elearning solutions. This will require ongoing consultation to the senior leadership group and business unit leaders in making strategic business decisions and providing the technology resources needed to achieve business goals. Job Description ? Serve as an ?agent of change? to help define and drive the business and product strategy for technology, accelerating the transition to an integrated information provider ? Lead the development and implementation of cost-effective technology strategies that are aligned with and directly drive long-term growth objectives ? Evangelize the understanding and application of front-end customer strategy into the technology organization, ensuring that our electronic product solutions deliver maximum customer value in fresh, new ways. ? Collaborate with the product teams and shared services, such as the TL Technology Center of Excellence and Global Production and Manufacturing, to define and implement critical new product development processes, with the stated goal of ?delivering more profitable products faster.? ? Relentlessly drive to leverage platforms and architecture across product lines within the business units and across ? Display a passion to continually seek and implement productivity and profit improvement opportunities, including effective right sourcing efforts consistent with organizational objectives and maturity ? Ensure that all present technologies, applications, products, and tools are scalable and of industrial strength ? Create and leverage a highly capable management team, actively developing and deploying talent across the business to ensure the entire technology organization provides leading edge experience ? Conduct comprehensive technology due diligence on potential acquisitions and determine appropriate integration strategy ? As a member of TL?s CTO Council, help drive strategy by providing input on macro decisions for the company with regard to technology standards, policies and procedures ? Ensure all areas of direct responsibility operate consistently within the context of the corporate mission and strategic plan

 

Requirements: ? 10+ years experience in technology, including 5+ years in senior management; open web and content management/product creation experience preferred ? Bachelor?s degree required; Master?s degree preferred ? Strong leadership skills including: Vision and strategy Influencing and consensus building Communication Total quality commitment Ownership and accountability Project management ? Successful track record of development and implementation of an innovative strategic vision and plans, and competence in building strategies to deliver the company's technology to meet business goals and objectives Ability to transform strategy into tactical plans and delivery. ? Demonstrated success as a builder of organizations with exceptional management and leadership abilities that design and deliver technology programs needed to implement strategy in a cost-effective manner. ? Experience in due diligence, development and implementation of multiple acquisitions including successful integration ? A creative, self-confident self-motivator with a "can do" orientation, along with the ability to function both independently and as a member of a team. Can work well in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment ? Passionate, forward thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and integrity ? Ability to collaborate and partner as a business professional. The ability to facilitate, gain compromise and/or consensus within diverse teams. ?
