Citrix Consultant - CCA

Duties:

The candidate will design, implement and document best practice solutions for an enterprise-wide Citrix environment which are aligned with company and IT goals.  In addition, the analyst will be part of a team responsible for managing 70+ local and remote Citrix applications servers located across multiple business groups.  The individual will be required to provide expertise and support on Citrix Metaframe XP and 1.8 server configurations.  As part of their role, the applicant should be familiar with standard client applications including Lotus Notes, Office 97 & XP and Internet Explorer.  Responsibilities will include managing the Citrix Farm, identifying capacity requirements and optimizing server performance.  The candidate should be familiar with the Citrix Resource Manager and Installation Manager. His/Her duties will include image creation and remote support of Wyse thin client devices. The incumbent will be responsible to communicate across all levels of the organization. The incumbent must demonstrate the ability to manage projects as required by NAFTA Management. The person is expected to share their acquired expertise within the NAFTA IS organization. The candidate reports to the Citrix Product Manager.

 

?  Install and maintain client applications in a Citrix enterprise-wide environment.

?  Develop, implement and document operational processes and best practices solutions to provide a uniform and stable environment.

?  Monitor and identify server performance and capacity issues and define solutions to provide a stable enterprise environment.

?  Develop and document a disaster recovery plan for the existing environment.

?  Work with the server operations group to maintain the appropriate Citrix patch levels.

 

Skill Set Requirements (Must Have)

 

?  MCP and CCA certifications required.

?  CCEA and MCSE (Windows 2000 and NT 4.0) certifications a plus.

?  6-8 years knowledge of deploying NT Servers and Desktops.

?  Minimum 3 years Citrix administration experience in an enterprise environment.

?  Knowledge of XPa and XPe.

?  Knowledge Citrix Farm over a wide-area network.

?  Knowledge Citrix Nfuse and CSG.

?  Knowledge Windows O/S 2003 and Active Directory

?  Experience with Lotus Notes and Office XP.

?  Experience with Wyse thin client devices and Rapport software a plus.

?  Ability to multi-task, e.g., manages multiple projects and/or responsibilities.

?  Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

?  Customer and team oriented.
