Will be responsible for providing second level technical support for desktops, laptops and other peripheral devices, such as blackberrys, verizon aircards, etc. using a variety of hardware, software and procedural solutions. Identifies causes of basic problems that are identified through second level support and recommends solutions. Performs or otherwise supports Installs, Moves, Adds, Changes and Removes requests received from the business areas. Ability to provide 2nd level support for associates in the TIAA-CREF branch offices. Support remote access users that are using VPN and keyfob technology along with those using verizon aircards. Support training classroom presentations and conference room setups.

 

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.  Guideline of up to 2 years of desktop hardware support experience, preferably with installations, removals, operating systems and customer service, as well as teamwork skills. Needs strong analytical skills which includes the ability to identify basic problems.  Recommends solutions. Strong communications skills with the aptitude to openly share information to assist others. Uses multiple methods of communications. General knowledge of the company and its products. Knowledge of PC operating systems.  Knowledge of PC hardware components.  Knowledge of microsoft applications and their functionality.  General knowledge of database functions and connectivity.  General knowledge of network connectivity. Preferred that the associate knows how to work with products to build desktop and laptop images though, not mandatory.
