Position: Cognos Developer/Analyst

Location: Memphis, TN

Duration: 6 Months

FULLTIME / W2 / IGATE


Required skills: COGNOS, Reportnet, Transformer, SAP, Framework Manager


The ideal candidate must have experience in,


-   5-8 years related work experience in data warehousing / business intelligence


-   At least 3 years experience designing and developing business intelligence reports with Cognos software (i.e., Impromptu, IWR, ReportNet). 


-   At least 1 year of Cognos ReportNet development experience, to include Framework Manager. 


-   Experience with Oracle databases and Structured Query Language (SQL) is required. 


-   Experience with SAP R/3 and/or SAP BW is a major plus.

-   Cognos-trained on ReportNet is a major plus, and Cognos certification preferred.

-   Experience with Visual Source Safe preferred

-   Gathering data and reporting requirements from different business units, such as sales, marketing, finance, distribution, and customer service, and developing Cognos PowerPlay solutions to satisfy these requirements.


-   Assist with data modeling and query tuning to achieve maximum performance while retrieving data from database structures;


-   Participate in Cognos software upgrade impact analysis, upgrade planning, and implementation; assist development team with test planning, test conditions, and obtaining test data;


-   Participate and assist in creating and delivering end user training;



Compensation and other relevant details:


1. We are looking only for people willing to join us directly as W2 employees.

2. W2 salaried with full benefits or W2 hourly all-inclusive rates.

3. If needed, H1 visa transfers / provide efficient GC sponsorship.
