Cognos Infrastructure Consultant
Cognos Infrastructure Consultant
ISA Consulting has an immediate need for a Cognos Infrastructure Consultant to provide installation services on the full-suite of Cognos products. ISA Consulting provides Business Intelligence and Data ware house consulting services in the North East region of the US. Our region includes the New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and the Washington DC metro areas.
The ideal candidate will:
? Provide overview of Cognos technical architecture to IT and Business audiences.
? Make recommendations for server sizing and third party software configurations to support Cognos software.
? Perform installations of Cognos software in Windows and UNIX environments including configuration of third party software components such as relational database servers, LDAPs and J2EE Application Servers.
? Troubleshoot Cognos environments including operating systems, hardware configurations and networking.
Technical Skills Needed: Windows, UNIX, Oracle DB, SQL Server DB, Application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere and Tomcat) and Web Servers (Apache and IIS)
Professional Skills:
? Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate with technical and business professionals.
? Travel required regionally in the Northeastern US (Connecticut through Virginia).
? Strong organizational and time management skills a must.
Required: Strong Windows system administration skills, UNIX or Linux skills
Education Preferred: Undergraduate or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
