Coldfusion Web Developer

DESCRIPTIONSummary:
The Web Developer is responsible for building and maintaining the organization?s website back end applications; including maintaining and enhancing the foundation's content management system. The Web Developer is also responsible for building and maintaining database structures to support the website content and functionality, and implementing applications and software solutions to match the overall mission objectives of the organization.

The Web Developer, under the supervision of the MIS Director, will create applications to support and enhance the capabilities of online stakeholders, including affiliates, donors, and general users. The Web Developer will support stakeholder systems by creating technical documentation and performing appropriate training to make sure all web operations are running smoothly.

Duration: 6 month contract to hire.REQUIREMENTSKnowledge of:
? Minimum 2 years Cold Fusion development experience. Certifications in Cold Fusion preferred.
? In-depth knowledge of Web technologies, protocols, and tools including HTML/XHTML, Cold Fusion MX, SQL; Flash and Flash Remoting a plus.
? Thorough understanding of application development
? Knowledge of database development.
? Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements.
? Good understanding of the organization?s goals and objectives.
? Excellent written and oral communication skills.
? Excellent interpersonal skills.
? Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
? Highly self motivated and directed.

Ability to:
? Develop Dynamic Cold Fusion tools for process automation and content management.
? Develop SQL databases to support Cold Fusion functionality.
? Develop and communicate Web site usage and security policies and standards to all users.
? Identify, recommend, and prioritize new Web features and applications in conjunction with business leaders and department managers.
? Develop, code, install, test, debug, and document Web applications using Cold Fusion Studio/Dreamweaver MX.
? Establish policies and procedures for publishing Web pages and applications in conjunction with content creators.
? Ability to develop stored procedures and triggers.
? Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing Web applications and sites.
? Assist in design, development, and updates to databases as they relate to Web applications.
? Ensure security of all Web sites and related applications.
? Perform periodic Web site audits.
? Monitor and report on Web site traffic and performance.

Training and/or Education:
Bachelor's degree in related field.

Experience:
Minimum 2 years Cold Fusion development experience.

Licenses or Certificates:
Certifications in Cold Fusion preferred.
