COMPUTER CONFIGURATON SPECIALISTS-TEMPE, AZ

Frequent professional communication with vendors, customers and end users to help them understand the configuration(s) and communicate what the solution can accomplish.
Daily interaction with customers to identify and effectively communicate hardware and software solution(s).
1st response provider for customer quote and configuration requests.
Consults with solution providers to identify and understand appropriate solution(s) for customers.
Obtains database size(s) and backup window time in an effort to identify the solution and configure accurately.
Processing service quotes for new hardware and software storage configuration requests.
Interpret customer/vendor solutions for enterprise software and storage, migrate features and processes software requests.
Analyze complex software and storage configurations to creates, revise and processes requests in appropriate database. Updates version and price information in database(s) and apply to quotations as appropriate.
May provides pre- and/or post-sales configuration support to customers, which includes working with account managers, CSR's, solution providers and members of the configuration team keep abreast of new products and services.
Focus on multiple hardware and software product lines.
Configure storage systems.
May give presentations to customers in support of sales.
May perform other duties as assigned.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in Computers, Electronics or other related technical field preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:
1 - Sales support certificate, specific brand.
1 - Tech. support certificate, specific brand.
1 - Storage or logical partition certificate.
1 - Software sales certificate.

Experience:
Three (3) years of experience in Computers, Electronics or other related technical field.
Knowledge/Skill in:
Thorough understanding of Fibre Channel Topology
Customer service principles.
Advanced computer configuration practices, procedures, and methods.
Current computer configuration products and services.
Configuration migration methods.
Monitoring and assigning work.
Evaluating customer needs and making recommendations for solutions.
Mapping computer configurations.
Configuring software and storage solutions.
Reading, writing and understanding written instructions.
Communicating effectively, verbally.
Providing customer service.
Configuring hardware and software based on recommended solutions.
Migrating features.
Processing software requests.
