We need a talented individual to fill the role of an IT Internship in the Disaster Recovery Team.  We are seeking an independent self-starter to fill the role of a Computer Operator I.

 

This is a new position due to company growth.  This position is part of a team responsible for assuring both customer and employee data is properly copied/archived to various backup mediums such as disk, tape and optical.  This position is primarily responsible for handling media management, maintaining documentation and assisting with BCP/DR related tasks.

 

This is a perfect opportunity for Computer Information Systems and Computer Science majors.
 
This position reports to the Manager of Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery.

 

Responsibilities
?Assist Tape Media tracking (location and use)
?Assist Documenting and Reporting daily backup status (Metrics)
?Travel between Go Daddy sites in the Phoenix Metro area to perform tape management tasks.

 

Educational Requirements Include:
? Enrolled in a B.S. program in Computer/Management Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Computer  Engineering (Software Development/Engineering), or related field.
? Completed at least two years of college education before beginning internship
? Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship
? Strong academic performance minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA. Extracurricular achievement.
? Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of adaptability, innovation, initiative and integrity.

?Able to work independently
?Holds valid Arizona Drivers license and vehicle to travel between Go Daddy Sites
?Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
