Computer Software Engineer

Tempco, located in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, is a leading manufacturer of custom engineered electric heating elements, temperature sensors and controls serving diverse industrial and commercial markets. ?We currently have an excellent opportunity for a talented Computer Software Engineer.

This position involves designing and maintaining programs to support the engineering, accounting and sales departments using VB and VBA.? The ability to program using Microsoft Access databases is required.

A strong working knowledge of Windows 98 and Windows XP operations is essential.? Qualified candidates should also be able to set up a new PC on a network, assign drive letters, install software and troubleshoot user problems or be willing to learn and apply these skills.

An understanding of basic mechanical and electrical engineering concepts coupled with a working knowledge of AutoCAD and CAD/CAM is required.? The position involves administering and troubleshooting these software packages.?? Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Computer Science required.

Minimum of two to four years experience preferred but we will consider a bright and ambitious recent graduate who is willing to learn.
